The list of items that I have put up on this blog since I started it nearly one year ago is now quite long and I’m able to tell that some, not many, have yet to be blessed with your attention, dear readers. It may be the titles I’ve chosen or it may simply be that as these so far ignored pieces were posted in the early blogdays (Oh, Dylan Thomas, you would have loved that one) they appear low down in the list and are rarely reached by the downward swoop of the cursor.
So I’m suggesting a few titles that my readers might like to read. At the top of my list there is POETRY OR NOT which considers what is and what is not my idea of what defines a poem – it is not at all academicky, it simply illustrates how a poem may really be prose and how poetry may be concealed within a piece of prose; in this case it is a poem about Paul Newman which is just terrific and totally unknown (until this man here spotted it).
Others are worthy of your attention:
DEBUT a short story of which I’m proud and you will probably like.
IN THE NAME OF KATYN PLEASE DON’T REHABILITATE STALIN this includes a poem of mine called The First and Last All-Ukranian Congress of Lirniki and Banduristi (quality readers will note that this is written in sonnet form).
BEWARE OF POLITICIANS BEARING PERCENTAGES highly relevant in these days of VAT increase, inflation, pay reductions and price increases. My friend Gary the heating engineer said that it opened his eyes!
I WAS ONLY DOING WHAT THEY TOLD ME a modest contribution to the never-ending squabble between the social classes about education.
KILL AND PLEAD GUILTY what should you do if someone breaks into your home one dark night?
Look to the blue list on the left, move the cursor southwards and there you will find them, these hitherto unappreciated little gems! All it takes is quick click on the chosen piece.

I GAVE A PUBLIC RECITAL OF MOST OF THESE ON 22 OCTOBER 2013 AND IT SEEMED TO GO QUITE WELL. IN FUTURE I'LL JUST POST POEMS FROM TIME TO TIME AND THEY WILL BE INTERSPERSED WITH OTHER POSTS.

Welcome
This is a collection of written pieces that comes from things I’ve thought and experienced; occasionally they are illustrated with photos that I’ve taken. They are here because I want people to enjoy them. This is a sort of print performance and as with other kinds of performance it is a meaningless exercise without an audience. So be my audience ...
