I use the video function on my little Kodak camera hardly at all. Remembering how to find the button to switch it on to video sometimes feels like a major achievement. However one evening in Delray Beach, Florida, I am taking my umpteenth drink in Johnee Brown's bar on East Atlantic Avenue listening to the group that plays there on Sundays. They are playing what was to me a familiar tune of absolutely no merit at all (if one is sober) but seems OK to me at the time. I switch my camera on to Video and then I see a young woman slide off her barstool and start to dance and I start to video her. This girl is a 'mover'! The result was what I still regard as being a most delightful , a wonderful, a life-enhancing video clip. It's on YouTube but I'll give you the link so you can get it from here. It'll only take a few minutes but you'll be a better person for it.

I refer to this evening in Johnee Brown's in an earlier post called GO TO THE USA AND BE IN THE MOVIES! where this link should be available but something went wrong and the link didn't work so now's your chance to see it.
If you like this then do register your approval by leaving a comment. There are new instructions on how to make a comment at the opening page of this blog. If you don't like the video clip then DON'T leave a comment. Just say how great it is, OK?
PS The link I've given above will also show you another video when the first has finished. It's a strange little video story that I wrote and put up on YouTube. When you've watched the girl dancing hang on and watch the story - or just leave the blog and go and have your tea.

Welcome
This is a collection of written pieces that comes from things I’ve thought and experienced; occasionally they are illustrated with photos that I’ve taken. They are here because I want people to enjoy them. This is a sort of print performance and as with other kinds of performance it is a meaningless exercise without an audience. So be my audience ...
