Welcome

This is a collection of written pieces that comes from things I’ve thought and experienced; occasionally they are illustrated with photos that I’ve taken. They are here because I want people to enjoy them. This is a sort of print performance and as with other kinds of performance it is a meaningless exercise without an audience. So be my audience ...

POEM - WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE

Watch your language.

I am watching your language.

I can see it now.

It leaps up and down

Then fades when you are lost for words.

I watch it fatten sometimes when you’ve had too much to drink

And form itself into silly little pointed bubbles.

The colour is remarkable.

When you talk non-stop it’s kaleidoscopic -

A rainbow of phrases!

And when you stub your toe or bite your tongue

Sharp stellated icosohedra of purple tinged with angry pink

Hang in the air for ages.
